Regional healthcare infrastructure development calls for applications have been published 9 November 2007
Modernisation of the healthcare system and improving the health status and quality of life of the population is a priority objective of the New Hungary Development Plan. Funding to the value of 110 billion HUF is available within the framework of the regional operational programmes for healthcare modernisation over the course of the next seven years. Investments in healthcare to the value of 20 billion HUF can be launched in the regions within the framework of the present tender package.
The call supports the development of basic services and independently operating micro-regional outpatient services. Within the framework of the programme, it will be possible to implement, amongst others, the development of the infrastructure of currently operating medical centres, or convert building premises that have so far been used for other purposes into medical centres or health centres. Moreover, it will also be possible to renew outpatient centres, and new machinery will be able to support efficient medical services.
