Calls for applications for credit institutions and financial enterprises 9 November 2007
Within the framework of the New Hungary Development Plan, the National Development Agency has announced calls for credit institutions and financial enterprises owned by the former that wish to take part in the mediation of non-reimbursable micro-loans. Approved applicants will gain access to re-usable frameworks with favourable business conditions from funding granted by the EU, which they can use for granting loans to micro-enterprises.
Providing portfolio guarantees is the other key component of the programme. The same scope of financial mediators is eligible to apply for this type of funding. The National Development Agency shall select banks encouraged by the Agency to set up special credit baskets developed for micro, small and medium-size enterprises in a way that these banks assume guarantees for the credit transferred. Therefore, as a security for the loans they transfer, approved applicants are eligible to apply for guarantees provided by the Hungarian Enterprise Agency, the resources of which are ensured by European Union and Hungarian state co-financing.
Applications can be submitted from 7 November 2007 right through to 16 October 2009 to the value of the available framework. Application assessment is carried out on an on-going basis and in accordance with pre-defined evaluation criteria.
