EU money has been transferred – NHDP payments have been launched30 November 2007
Payments concerning the applications of the New Development Plan have been launched. The first transfers were performed today: entrepreneurs approved funding within the framework of the call for applications targeting simple technological developments published for small and medium size enterprises have been submitting their accounts since September; the first payments were made today. The organisation managing the applications, namely, the Hungarian Economic Development Centre will settle accounts within 60 days of their submission.
It is important to be aware of how all payments made by Brussels are post-payment type transactions, i.e. applicants must first dig into their pockets, and the tendering organisation will only subsequently pay the rate of funding approved on the basis of invoices.
According to the expectations of the National Development Agency, several hundreds of millions of HUF will be paid this year. The real payment dumping will begin next year and shall continue over the coming years. Several hundreds of billions of HUF of New Hungary Development Plan resources will be received in 2008. National Development Plan I funding will complement this, since over 80% of this framework has only just been paid, which means that over 15 800 projects received a share of funding of 540 billion HUF in value.
