New service available on the NDA website17 November 2008

RSS efficiently helps applicants to information, with the help of which system information posted in connection with specific calls becomes easier to follow and more transparent.

Feedback received in connection with the website indicated that in many cases applicants find it difficult to follow changes to their respective call. By taking this into account and in order to increase tendering efficiency, NDA set up a new web service, with the help of which information posted in connection with specific calls becomes easier to follow and more transparent.

The application builds on information channels set up earlier. These RSS channels enable fast access to updated information and news items for regular website visitors. Readers simply have to click on the RSS icon placed next to the call, following which they will receive information on all content-related changes to the call.

It is important to know that use of the RSS service in connection with the operational programme (OP) exclusively provides information concerning all of the calls running under a given OP. Information posted in connection with specific calls can be accessed by clicking on the RSS icon placed next to the given call (e.g. if the we wish to follow all changes made in connection with the call ECOP 2.1.1, in this case it is necessary to adjust the ECOP main folder and the ECOP 2.1.1. RSS-service. In this case, the combined changes indicated by the two channels will add up to the overall changes made to the given call.).

NDA trusts that this service will substantially contribute to making the complex EU tendering system increasingly transparent.

 Technical description:
The key element of the function is that users are able to create an Internet address (URL) in the case of each library belonging to a specific call that collects all information posted in connection with the given call  (e.g. www.nfu.gov.hu/schoolrenewal).
Internet addresses can be used in diverse ways. One the one hand, the URL can simply be saved in the browser „Favourites” folder, following which it is possible to access and read information posted in connection with the given call at any given time. The other opportunity is to save the URL in special software particularly designed for this purpose, in which case users are able to monitor the most recent information posted online. In this case, a pop-up window warns users each time new information is posted in connection with the given call- The third application option is to upload the Internet address on a news page created and adjusted to the user’s profile; in this case, the applicant is able to create their own news block in connection with their given call.
