NDA Photo Call Closed 8 December 2008
The photo call „Notice the Change! Develop the New Hungary!” has now closed. Altogether 1500 applications were received in response to the call and several thousands of photos uploaded present a picture on the way we Hungarians view our immediate environment being renewed with the help of EU funding.
NDA launched the national photo call with the aim to ensure the opportunity for amateur photographers to present a picture on where Hungary stands today and how investments and developments implemented in our environment change our everyday life. The photo call also provided an opportunity for applicants to show the extent to which Hungary has developed and changed over the past few years.
The call was open to anyone interested. NDA did not specify any kind of technical or age restrictions. Selecting a relevant theme was the only criterion stipulated, i.e. photos exclusively capturing investments or developments implemented with the help of EU funding could be sent in by applicants.
Photo artists and the professional associates of news agencies judged the photos sent in once the call was closed. Valuable prizes were awarded for the best photos sent in: a professional digital single-lens reflex camera was the first prize; in addition, photo printers and book vouchers were also up fro grabs.
Date and venue of the award ceremony: 11 a.m. on 5 December, Gödör Club (1051 Budapest, Erzsébet Square).
As a close of the call, the best photos will be on exhibit at the Gödör Club on Erzsébet Square within the framework of a major exhibition organised by NDA. Interesting programmes, a playhouse and spectacular events will accompany the exhibition open to the public from 5 December through to 21 December.
