Another Project Handed Over within the Framework of the National School Renewal Programme 10 December 2009
Funding amounting to approximately 105 billion HUF has been made available up to 2011 within the framework of the NHDP National School Renewal Programme, enabling the implementation of 365 projects. This ensures the opportunity to renew numerous outdated, run-down kindergarten and school buildings and set up quality educational institutions. The most significant kindergarten and school renewal programme of the past 50 years is being implemented within the framework of NHDP. The kindergartens in Ércs and Ravazd were upgraded and the Primary School in Écs was extended and renewed with the help of funding amounting to over 330 million HUF.
Up to December 2009, in the 7 development regions final decisions on funding were made in the case of more than 330 school renewal projects within the framework of the National School Renewal Programme. Work has already begun in the case of 215 projects, out of which 30 projects have already been completed.
The local governments of Écs and Ravazd jointly submitted an application within the framework of this programme to upgrade the three buildings managed by the public education association and build a new wing. A new wing was constructed at the Primary School in Écs within the framework of this investment, as a result of which all classes can now be accommodated in the same building. The old buildings were also renewed and a school kitchen and canteen capable of catering for public education institutions operating in Écs and Ravazd was also developed within the framework of this project. Complex handicap access, including lift access, is now ensured to the building and the assembly area linking the old and new wing was also constructed. It was definitely necessary to build a new fence to make the courtyard safer. This project also ensured the opportunity to create an environment suitable for installing ICT equipment in the new and old wing of the school. A modern science classroom was set up in the school; moreover, the procurement of educational tools raising education standards is also in progress.
Napraforgó (Sunflower) Kindergarten and Crèche in Écs was renewed, the roof structure of the building was reinforced and the roof was replaced. All doors and windows in the building were replaced and its insulation and chimneys were also renewed. Handicap access to the institution was created, the courtyard was made safer and the kitchen was functionally transformed within the framework of the transformation of the building.
The roof structure of the building of Nyitnikék (Bird Song) Kindergarten and Crèche in Ravazd was replaced, full handicap access to the institution was created and the paving, as well as doors and windows were replaced. Building works extended to include the renewal and functional transformation of the kitchen operating inside the building, as well as the installation of solar panels.
