Crèche in Üröm Built with over 147 million HUF in EU Funding 5 October 2010

The community of Üröm received a grant of over 147 million HUF in the framework of the Central Hungary Operational Programme, for the construction of its crèche. The facility will welcome its little customers from the beginning of October.

So far there has been no facility in the village of Üröm for the day-care placement of infants. As a result of this investment, it has become possible to place 40 infants in professional day care. The project also creates jobs through the employment of staff in the new crèche.

In the framework of the grant “Construction of a new crèche with four groups in the village of Üröm” a new infant day-care centre consisting of three buildings has been built. Efforts were made to apply environment friendly and energy-saving solutions in the construction.

The primary purpose of the project was to enable the residents of Üröm to use infant day-care services, in a state-of-the-art building that can be operated cost efficiently and is obstacle-free.

The landscaping works of the grounds of the crèche have been completed, trees and shrubs have been planted and a playground has also been constructed. Equipment for the enhancement of movement and coordination has been purchased for indoor and outdoor use.

The project will contribute to the further dynamic development of the community, since from now on parents in Üröm will find all forms of public education in the community, from infant day care to primary school.

In the grant of the Central Hungary Operational Programme “Development of the infrastructure and expansion of the capacity of institutes providing infant day care” so far there have been thirty winning projects. The amount of EU funding for winning applications exceeds 5 billion HUF.
