In five locations of the country developments upgrading specialised outpatient treatment have been officially inaugurated. The total value of the projects implemented under the Social Infrastructure Operational Programme, a programme intended to manage the allocation of EU funding, exceeds 4.2 billion HUF. The European Union supported the projects with close to 3.8 billion HUF.

A new, integrated outpatient health centre was created in Pannonhalma. The development worth over 896 million HUF directly impacts the lives of over 17,000 people.
The building of 1496 square metres is obstacle-free. Landscaping and parking spaces for 30 cars have been developed around the institute. The use of environment-friendly materials is intended to be maximized, and waste management will be planned according to up-to-date principles.
As a result of the project, a modern outpatient health centre has been established in Pannonhalma that will ensure high quality health care services for the region in the long term.

In Pásztó an upgraded outpatient treatment system replacing active hospital services has been developed in Margit Hospital.
The outpatient treatment facilities that had been located outside the area of the hospital, the family pediatrician and health visitor services moved into the area of the hospital. The entire heating system of the institute has been upgraded using renewable energy sources. In the facilities for outpatient specialised treatment the equipment has been upgraded and the IT system was also enhanced. As a result of the project worth a total of 860 million HUF, the currently loss-producing outpatient specialised treatment system can become sustainable in the long term.

The implementation of day hospital treatment, one-day surgery and treatment cures enables the patients to recover in their homes, preventing the complications that can develop in a hospital. The state-of-the-art working conditions help to retain the professional staff and attract new recruits.

The full renewal of the building hosting the medical services of the Municipal Hospital and Health Centre of Bonyhád involved an investment project worth 864 million HUF. The development was meant to provide enhanced level medical services to the residents of the micro-region. The building was equipped with state-of-the-art appliances and in-patient care was also expanded. Several buildings of the institute have been closed, the former functions were all transferred to the renewed and expanded building.
