New Industrial Site of Raltech Kft Hosts Enterprises in Tatabánya27 January 2011

Raltech Kft. from Tatabánya won non-repayable EU grants totalling to more than HUF 300 million on the "Industrial Site Development" tender of the Central Transdanubia Operational Programme. The finished investment with a total value of more than HUF 659 million was opened by János Bencsik, State Secretary for Climate and Energy, Csaba Schmidt, Mayor of Tatabánya and Zoltán Horváth, Managing Director of Raltech Kft.

On the opening ceremony of the new 3100 square metres industrial hall of the Tatabánya based company János Bencsik, Junior Minister of the Ministry of National Development pointed out the following in his welcome speech: Raltech Kft's investment of HUF 600 million is another example that proves that the Government is on the right track with the assumption that small and medium-sized enterprises have the power to renew Hungary's economy. János Bencsik said that the small business of Hungarian ownership increased the number of employees from three to 38 in a decade and nearly one third of its turnover now comes from export. With cleverly planned developments, recruitment of a workforce with the appropriate skills, and creating a dedicated team, Hungarian enterprises can successfully compete on foreign markets. He said that the company's effort to build the new industrial hall with respect to the interest of its partners offering a place for its suppliers was exemplary. "The company will provide planning, organization and development services to the companies taking part in the production cooperation, and this is the type of cooperation that the Government wishes to support through the New Széchenyi Plan's new tendering system", said János Bencsik, and added that as State Secretary responsible for the development of green economy he was exceptionally satisfied that the investment was carried out by the reconstruction of a former industrial site and by the deployment of solar collectors to provide renewable energy.

In the framework of the project "Raltech integration, reconstructed site, new markets, Tatabánya" as a brownfield investment, the company built a 3100 square metres industrial site within three years, which houses several smaller companies from now on.

Raltech Kft, which manufactures display stands, carts and shelves for stores, was founded in 1999 and is in sole Hungarian ownership. As a result of continuous and well-planned development the company now has 38 full-time employees. While in the first five years the company's annual turnover was around HUF 100 million, this figure is more than HUF 420 million today.

At present Raltech's main market is store equipments, but building hospitals, office, logistics, storage and industrial facilities and providing equipment for these in Central and Eastern Europe is also an opportunity.
As the former site was unexpandable it was a hindrance to the continuous and dynamic growth of the company; output could not be increased and secure storage and handling of raw materials and finished products was also unresolved. To overcome these problems the management decided to start a site development investment by tendering for funds.

After the successful tender and the signing of the grant contract in June 2009 the project entered the execution phase and a high-quality facility was built which can house both modern office and production capacities. The new industrial site with its 2553 square metres hall, precision mechanics manufacturing facility and 674 square metres office space offers quality services for the companies moving in, among others, in marketing, finance, and technology development. The project included central IT infrastructure deployment for the companies using the services, and introducing the ISO 9001 quality management system was also part of the development.
