New Széchenyi Plan Opens a New Path for Somogy County2011. február 3.

The National Development Agency's national tour to introduce the New Széchenyi Plan had its Kaposvár event on 2 February 2011.

Ágnes Molnár, State Secretary for Development Policy Coordination of the Ministry of National Development talked about the new approach that forms the basis of the renewal of the tendering system to an audience of 300 at the 9th stage of the tour.

In her speech, State Secretary for Development Policy Ágnes Molnár highlighted that the New Széchenyi Plan launching economic growth brought a radical change in development policy. Tendering system was overhauled by the ministry to meet the justified needs of potential tenderers. Due to the changes companies can access sources in a fast and flexible manner.

Hungarian micro, small and medium-sized enterprises have to gain strength as investors and employers, as this is essential to the rapid growth of the Hungarian economy. Grants arrive in the appropriate areas and therefore are used in the most effective way possible. "The New Széchenyi Plan brings the hope of growth, and this hope will be fulfilled", said Ágnes Molnár.

The State Secretary affirmed that while enterprises are in the focus of the government's attention, considerable amounts will be available for developing transport as well. As a part of the National Programmes of the New Széchenyi Plan, Kaposvár's combined bus and train station will be built, the long awaited reconstruction of road 67 will be completed, and several bypasses will be built in Somogy county.

Each stage of the national tour brought active professional consultation and real social dialogue. Enterprise representatives of Somogy county were eager to share their views about published and expected calls for tenders.

The New Széchenyi Plan's website also receives numerous visits for detailed tender information. Since the site's launch on 14 January, 250 000 visitors have downloaded 1.6 million pages.

Contributing partners of the national tour are the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the National Association of Entrepreneurs. Today's meeting was organized by the Municipality of Kaposvár, City of County Rights and the Enterprise Agency of Somogy County. The Agency will also launch an information point in the near future to help the successful introduction of the New Széchenyi Plan.
