Another tender for IT development in public education 2 September 2011
Comments are invited for the tender ’Development of institutional IT infrastructure in public education’ which is designed to help public institutions create the background of modern IT education.
Comments on the tender may be submitted until 12 September in the partnership forum which has been created for posting comments on NFÜ’s website. The previous tender of SIOP (Social Infrastructure Operational Programme) also received widespread attention.
In the framework of SIOP 1.1.1-07 schools and their operators requested nearly 20,000 class equipment packages including more than 15,000 pieces funded by the National Development Agency.
This tender appears within the framework of SIOP’s first priority which mainly aims to provide the infrastructural background for formal, non-formal and informal education regarding the development of skills necessary for lifelong learning and labour market effectiveness. The connected ’Intelligent School’ programme is not only essential for the development of IT skills, but it significantly contributes to the infrastructure necessary for developing other key competences as well. This way the development enables the public institution to provide its students with modern equipment for teaching IT according to 21st century needs.
The SIOP 1.1.1-11 tender aims to provide unified basic IT infrastructure for public institutions in order to develop IT skills and key competences. It also pays special attention to support developments aimed at promoting the acquisition of IT communication and foreign language skills.
Applicants to the tender may procure digital boards, computers and monitors, laptops for teachers and students, application server packages, routers as well as computers for language studios.
At the time of the announcement of this tender the available budget amount to HUF 10.3 billion. The minimum and maximum amount of support is HUF 5 million and HUF 200 million, respectively. The expected number of eligible applications ranges from 350 to 400.
