New Széchenyi Plan launches new tenders of “Research and Technology Innovation Fund”23 April 2012
As the manager of the Research and Technology Innovation Fund, the National Development Agency (NDA) will announce new requests for innovation proposals within the New Széchenyi Plan. The first round will include five new tenders with a total budget of HUF 13.4 billion.
When evaluating the proposals, the NDA will especially support the priority sectors and the research, development and innovation (R+D+I) activities of the New Széchenyi Plan. The priority sectors include mobility and vehicle production, logistics, health industry, infocommunication, energy management and environmental protection. A key evaluation criterion will be the need to foster market-oriented solutions and efficient intellectual property protection. The institutional system wishes to focus on the encouragement of activities which will be implemented in the Region of Central Hungary to achieve a territorial balance.
It was a priority objective for the NDA to announce and manage the new tender invitations by reducing the administrative burdens of bidders and to have a bidder-friendly system. To this end, the institutional system simplified the set of requirements for R+D tenders, prepared a central guide which summarises the general rules for the Fund’s tender invitations, and introduced the option of electronic proposal submission.
