Focus area 1
Grants up to 7,38 million CHF shall be available for projects falling within the focus area:
REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES IN PERIPHERAL OR DISADVANTAGED REGIONS OF NORTHERN HUNGARY AND NORTHERN GREAT PLAIN
The entire amount allocated to this focus area shall therefore be used for programmes and specific projects implemented in Northern Hungary and the Northern Great Plain.
Programmes of a minimum value of 2 million CHF can be supported if they aim at achieving the following objective:
- To enhance local employment opportunities based on local potentials in Northern Hungary and the Northern Great Plain.
The Call was directed at the level of micro-regions in the three counties that receive special attention in the Swiss-Hungarian Cooperation Programme: Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén in Northern Hungary, and Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg and Hajdú-Bihar in the Northern Great Plain.
A programme consists of component projects and shall have a few realistic objectives, and the approach to achieve these objectives shall integrate several sectors. The programme must consist of one lead project and up to ten supporting projects.
Call for proposals 1st loop was published by the national Development Agency in September 2009, applications could be submitted until August 2010.
Call for proposals 2nd loop was open from October 2010 till December 2011. The two successful applicants further elaborated their plans and prepared their Final Project Proposals containing more details and background materials.
