Focus area 6

A grant up to 2,149 million Swiss francs shall be available for projects falling within the priority area:

DEVELOPMENT OF THE PRIVATE SECTOR AND PROMOTION OF EXPORTS OF SMES

The general aim of the projects supported within this priority area is to increase the market shares of Hungarian exports of goods and services in the tourism sector by the implementation of tourism hospitality education programmes and tourism destination planning.

Projects of a minimum value of 1 million CHF could be supported if they aimed at achieving the following objectives:
A. GUEST FRIENDLY TOURIST SERVICES – elaboration and implementation of classification and training programmes in order to improve tourism hospitality and tourist satisfaction
B. PILOT PROJECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF TOURIST BRAND(S) AND PRODUCTS

1st loop: The call for proposals was published by the National Development Agency in October 2009, the deadline for submission of Project Outlines was 1 February 2010.
2nd loop:  The call for proposals was open from 29 September 2010 until 15 February 2011. The successful applicants invited to the 2nd loop further elaborated their plans and prepared their Final Project Proposals containing more details and background materials.

Switzerland approved two projects on 29 September 2011. The projects receive a total contribution of more than CHF 2 million, more than HUF 500 million.
