A true success: all services were sold on the fifth "Civil Licit" Auction30 November 2012
"EVERYTHING SOLD" – these could be the words on the board hanged on the door of the Design Terminal by the Civil Licit Alapítvány (Civil Licit Foundation) after the sustainability auction called Civil Licit, because all civic services offered up for auction found their corporate partners in a total amount of more than HUF two million. Interestingly, apart from the corporate partners, the Ministry of Public Administration and Justice, as a public organization was successfully bidding on civic services. The hosts of the auction day were Nora Teszári, Nora Winkler and Peter Novak.
More than HUF two million, a truly hot auctioning atmosphere, and ten sold civic services - this is final balance of Civil Licit sustainability auction organized for the fifth time this year. The most popular of the services offered up for auction was the On Four Wheels Company Day offered up by the Motiváció Mozgássérülteket Segítő Alapítvány (Motivation Foundation for Supporting the Disabled), which was sold for three times the starting price to Telenor Magyarország Zrt. (Telenor Hungary Ltd). The bidding atmosphere was also hot for the sensitising Smile-Castle program of the Hungarian Federation of the Blind and Partially Sighted, and the Film Club of the Salva Vita Foundation that promotes the integration of the disabled. For both programs the bidding companies paid double of the starting price; the Magyar Telekom (Hungarian Telekom) and the Nextent Informatika Zrt (Nextent Information Technology Ltd) respectively. "The true success of the Civil Licit in the fifth year of its operation is that every service found its partner at this year's event," - said Kiss Gyöngyvér, a Civil Licit Alapítvány’s (Civil Licit Foundation’s)spokesman. "This year it was justified again that there is a need for forums where non-governmental organizations and companies meet each other with the purpose of doing business, and where they get to know each other’s hidden knowledge" - added the spokesman.
Navracsics: "Politics does not divide, but creates communities"
The bid was unique this year because a government organization was also bidding on a service first time this year. The Ministry of Public Administration and Justice purchased two services in the auction, namely the program of the Jól-Lét Alapítvány (Well-Being Foundation) to help the parents on maternity leave and child care benefit to return, and the sensitizing training course of the Nem Adom Fel Alapítvány (I Will Not Give Up Foundation) to promote the employment of people with disabilities. "Politics not only divides but also creates community. For this reason, its duty is to promote communities formed for good affairs. The Civil Licit is just like this: the businesses set up here create long-term connections between the market sector, the civilians and the state," - said Tibor Navracsics Deputy Prime Minister, the main patron of the event, on the Civil Licit Auction.
There is no sustainability without work
"The state’s task is not only to talk about sustainability, but to work for it" – stressed Nándor Csepreghy, the National Development Agency’s Communication Manager and Spokesman in his speech. "A good example for this is that the National Development Agency is the main professional partner and supporter of the Civil Licit Auction from the beginning. We believe that the partnerships formed here will create the opportunity for the participants to form long-term partnerships with each other, and they will be able to create value for the whole country," - said the communication manager.
The Nextent walked away with three services this year
"I think the auction was a real success this year - said Thomas Gátfalvi, Deputy General Manager of Nextent Informatika that purchased three services this year -, and I believe all the companies that attended the Civil Licit share my view. This day was a success for Nextent also because we purchased services which will further extend and broaden the scope of our civic cooperation born in the course of last year’s auction, thus we can make our cooperate culture, our operations and sustainability efforts more colourful"- added the Deputy General Manager.
The successful bidders at the auction were the following organizations: Nextent Informatika Zrt, (Nextent Information Ltd,) Magyar Telekom,(Hungarian Telekom) Telenor Magyarország Zrt (Telenor Hungary Ltd), BP Business Service Centre Kft,( BP Business Service Centre Kft) and the Ministry of Public Administration and Justice.
