Info days across the country to accelerate EU payments14 May 2013
The acceleration of payment for EU co-funded projects is given high priority. For this reason the National Development Agency (NDA) uses all the effort to help the professional and financial completion of the supported projects. To this end, for the Social Renewal Operational Programme (SROP) and the Social Infrastructure Operational Programme (SIOP) the NDA organizes info days with a supportive and monitoring function, in the framework of which general issues arising during the implementation of projects are in focus.
The acceleration of HR payments from the European Social Fund contributes both to the on-schedule implementation of projects and to the speedy drawdown of the amounts used by Hungary. Therefore, the NDA has set up a separate programme where one of the most important pillars is group customer service that is to assist beneficiaries by using more information tools. A part of this includes the info days, organized and held in cooperation with the expert colleagues of ESZA Non-Profit Ltd., where the winning applicants and the participants of the institutional system responsible for the announcement of calls can discuss questions arising in personal meetings in an interactive way.
The objective of the events is to provide help during the implementation of projects and for the explanation of financial, professional and administrative terms and conditions required at completion – in particular for getting to know the formal and content requirements of payment claims, contract amendments and change of information and the use of the Grants e-administration interface. The topics are based on elements explicitly supporting the faster and seamless performance of payments.
Since the majority of relevant projects are in convergence regions, the locations for info days have been assigned accordingly: in addition to two occasions in Budapest, trainings are held in another 8 countryside location. Furthermore, considering the great interest and registration over the quota the NDA is planning one more event in Budapest and another one in the countryside.
Info days have already been held in Pécs, on two occasions in Budapest, in Debrecen and in Szeged, where almost 450 projects were reached with more than 800 participants. The next locations on the 10-stop road show are as follows: 3 April - Miskolc, 4 April - Győr, 8 April – Kecskemét, 9 April – Székesfehérvár, and 10 April – Nyíregyháza. Through the series of events the NDA will predictably provide direct assistance for beneficiaries for the successful implementation of approx. 700 projects.
In addition to the info days on the www.nfu.hu homepage soon short films can be viewed, which provide a visual, step-by-step demonstration on the steps required for settlement.
