The progress of EU disbursements 5 August 2013
The institutional system of the European Union has been processing the received applications and paying out support at the adequate pace. By the middle of 2013 payments and contracts are concluded at the required pace. Since Hungary’s accession to the European Union never has so much money been flowing into the economy like in the first half of this year.
The National Development Agency (NFÜ) made decisions about 98% of the 8,200 billion funding available in the 2007-2013 programming period and almost 50% of the budget has already been paid out to the successful applicants.
The NDA granted support for nearly 60 thousand projects (59,846) and received double the amount, i.e. more than 120 thousand applications.
Payments have already exceeded HUF 4,000 billion and grant decisions have been made about nearly HUF 8,000 billion, exactly HUF 7871 thousand. The amount is continuously changing as payments of HUF 20.30 billion are made weekly; only this year HUF 658 billion was paid out. The announcement of new calls is continuous and the conclusion of contracts is also carried out at the right pace; since Hungary’s accession to the European Union never has so much been flowing into the economy as in the first half of this year.
The year 2012 was especially great as payments broke the record. Based on the present achievements it can be stated that the payment of invoices this year will exceed the expectations and will be well over HUF 1,000 billion.
