This year for the first time the National Development Agency is also presented in the National Agriculture and Food Exhibition, where visitors can get familiarized with tourism developments and regional priority projects and the New Széchenyi Plan exhibition stand awaits visitors with blue-box photography, a wheel of fortune and valuable prizes.

The National Agriculture and Food Exhibition and Fair in the Hungexpo Budapest Fair Centre will open on 18th September 2013.

This year for the first time the National Development Agency will also be present in the exhibition with a stand introducing the regional tourism development projects implemented with the assistance of the New Széchenyi Plan.

In the last seven years tourism developments in the value of HUF 150 billion have been implemented across the country. Visitors can get to know the most interesting, highlighted developments at the New Széchenyi Plan stand. Visitors to Hungexpo’s Pavilion G can for example look into the phases of the development of the Lake Tisza Ecocentre, the Vásárhelyi-Bréda Castle, or the Thermal Bath in Bogács and can also win valuable tickets in the prize game.

The transformation in global tourism also provides an opportunity for Hungary to reposition the country on the tourism market building on the traditions and special qualities of Hungary. One of the reasonable potential breakthrough areas for this is health tourism, which offers enormous opportunities and a steadily developing and growing market. Hungary has a long-standing tradition, really good qualities and a good position in this field, therefore, this area can be the key element for the development of international competitiveness.
Visitors to the New Széchenyi Plan stand can also get to know the abovementioned highlighted area of Hungarian tourism, while getting familiarized through colourful and interactive programmes with the development projects implemented in Hungary from EU funds.
